i have drillers neck
i also have earplug tan, safety glasses tan and dry blotchy cheeks. driving this afternoon will not help the sore neck i have. at least when i return it will be 1 day away from the weekend.
it was kind of fun working on the highway like one of those pendot workers. it made me feel special somehow bc everyone has to slow down when they pass and they can get a doublefine if they don't. and alot of them don't the assholes. a few times when i was fixing the cones (typically a section gets run down once every couple days by some jerkoff absent-minded driver) the truck drivers beeped at me because i look really really hot in my hardhat, steel-toes and neon-orange vest. i was afraid to wave back at them though bc i thought i might get my armed ripped out of my socket doing that. plus i needed to keep checking over my shoulder for those absent-minded drivers. i wondered on more than one occasion how fast i could jump out of the way of a stray car - and where the hell would i jump anyway? down the 45o slope into the tar pit below? suppose so. i never wanna actually work for penndot, my nosehairs were working overtime, but it was fun for a minute. you can find a lot of wierd crap on the side of the hwy, and many stages of decomposition.
