The only light comes from the full moon overhead and it illuminates Holly, who is kneeling close by and scooping a shallow hole into the earth with one bare hand. The other is folded gingerly against her chest, shoulder still healing from that reopened injury earlier in the month, but clutching something. Holly pauses, mutters under her breath.]

[Then the captain takes a breath and uncurls the injured arm so she can plant that acorn, murmuring softly in Gnommish: I return you to the earth and claim the gift that is my right.
... nothing. Silence. And then an eruption of blue sparks of magic and the elf arches back as it cocoons her.]
