Did anyone actually see the thing that crashed into the Square? I know no one would willingly go anywhere near that foul smoke but I thought I should ask.

Because whatever it was, it looks like it disintegrated in the air. There's nothing at the point of impact.

What the hell?

24, bombastic!, curse, policework, the city

Does it matter? It smells like a buffalo farted on a tuna sandwich wrapped in Caliban's dirty socks in the springtime.

Thank you so much for that.

And I think it does matter. The things that happen in this place are rarely random. But at this point, I guess it's all speculation. How's Niko?

Rarely random and seldom having to do with myself.

He's alive.

Comforting, but not very. It wasn't just a headache, was it.

It wasn't just a headache. But he's being cared for now. Niko will be fine.

At least no one had to force... Good. Thanks, Robin.

Yes, yes. Just do your job, miss investigative police-woman or whatever. I've got to get some sleep so that I can wake up and look after Niko's meal ticket in the morning.

He's being kept for a few days.

I'll make sure to visit, then.

... Are you alright? Or just cranky.

I don't know why you would think I'm being cranky. I'm fine. I just need more caffeine in my blood stream.

Just checking, considering how rough the last weekend was. This week is shaping up to be just as difficult, I think. It sounds like the hospital has its hands full with whatever's going on.

Whatever's going on doesn't matter, so long as they give Niko the care and attention that he deserves. And if I find out that they've been neglecting him, I'll be sure to find my way down there to throw things around until my point is made.

I knew you were cranky.

I'm sure he's in good hands, Robin. They don't let just anyone treat patients at the hospital. I'd offer to help, but my healing magic is better on injuries than illnesses-otherwise, I'd already be there.

I'm sure he's in strange hands. Either way, can you do anything for a tension headache? Out of curiosity.

Let the doctors do their job, Robin. It won't help if you storm over there and destroy expensive equipment, though I'm sure Niko will be flattered.

[She is probably siiighing before adding this next reply.] And yes, I'm sure my magic can fix a headache. Though you could just as easily take something for it.

He had better be, all that I go through and sacrifice for his ass. And don't talk to me like I don't know how the world works. I scream at people, they have conniption fits, things get done, ad nauseum.

Drugs are bad. Niko says so. He is wise for a man of his minute age.

You know how the world works according to you.

... And since when did you listen to Niko?
