I spent today -- the occassion of my first missed Mermaid Parade in five years -- at a retreat in the park. Eve spent most of today catching daddy long-legs of all sizes and letting them run about her hands and arms; some of the other little girls there shared in her fascination but not her adventurousness in letting them touch her.
