Have sent several communications to Starfleet Command to the effect that there are no easy or affordable sources of Dilithium from our current position, however we are yet to receive a reply. Our routine debriefings have also gone unanswered; Communications has been put on twenty-four hour alert, much to Lieutenant Uhura's displeasure.
Discovered about a fortnight ago that Desai's local bar scene does not accept Federation credits in lieu of what they called "real money"; fortunately Bones was able to heal the injuries to my knees so really, no harm done. Subsequent rental of one of the Enterprise's decks to a group of astronomy-minded youths has furnished us with enough local currency to avoid any further problems, but with our position as precarious as it currently is, I'm seriously considering the merits of continuing to allow civilians on-board for a small fee.
What I'm basically getting at here is, would anyone be interested in that? I dunno if we have people available for guided tours, but it's still all hypothetical at this stage anyway. It's a pretty big spaceship, lots to uh, see and do. Kinda a massive violation of insurance and OH&S procedures but hey! We can't have everything. Kirk out.
