Alright, so before you say anything... I know Indian people don't eat their food with chopsticks on Japanese-themed dishes. I don't have anything India-themed, but I didn't want to put the food on regular plates. k? K.
From the top left in the little bowl is Bombay potatoes with chickpeas over rice, top right is a cup of chai.
On the plate from the left is madras lentils over rice, spicy green beans, and my absolute favorite part of the whole meal: Tandoori chicken. It was soooo good.
Continuing on, my sister and I decided to mega-dork it up and dress up for the occasion. And take pictures, of course. Here are a few of my costume, which was thrown together in under 10 minutes. Note the fugly "sari" that my sister helped me wrap. I wish so badly that I had real Indian clothes that I could have worn. Oh well.
