Mother's Day and running.

Last Sunday was my very first official Mother's Day, and it was fairly nice.  I woke up early and spent plenty of alone time with the Bean, which was wonderful in itself.  I received two bundles of flowers throughout the day by post, one from my mom and one from Bean's father (which also came with chocolates and a balloon that said #1 Mom, hehe).  My house now smells very floral, which pleases me.  Alix cleaned my car out and washed it as my Mother's Day present, which is probably the best thing she could have done for me.  It smells like Febreze now, and I can actually see through the windows.  >.>

I have finally managed to run my mile and half at a decent pace, without stopping.  I know I haven't been posting like I said I would, but eh, who cares?  I'm still running.  My physical test is fast approaching, and I've only just made it to a point where I can run the mile and a half straight through, so I'm naturally still a bit nervous.  We'll see, though.  Plus, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be on my damned period on Saturday because I just started today.  Grr.  Weigh-ins are tonight, too, which means there will be at least an extra three pounds due to period bloat bullshit.

Here's a picture of the Bean from the other day while he was half asleep in his car seat.  <3

And another from a week or so ago.

I've been having some really strange, vivid dreams for the past four nights.  The first night I dreamt that my dad committed suicide over something political, which is absurd.  The second night I dreamt of something extremely sexual that I would really rather not divulge in a public place because it's just that -- you know?  The third was a weird boot camp I went to and the fourth night was about making snow people in the snow in Washington State.  I don't know.  Weird.

Anyway.  Half an hour until next mile and a half run, and then I can go home and see my Beans and SQUISH HIM TO BITS.  GAH!

philip, running
