headcanon if it were ladd/chane/claire threesome arrangement:
it's something like a threesome marriage where ladd likes women but doesn't LIKE chane (but he loves claire because of the whole messy killing thing and being so arrogant about not being able to die), and chane just likes claire because claire likes her back, and claire's uh... just going with it because they both love him!! so in general it's ladd/claire and chane/claire but with sex it's more like ladd/chane and uh claire just kinda doing whatever. i don't think chane cares about sex much, she's probably just lucky if her dad doesn't pop into her field of vision during it and ruin things hahaha. ladd probably prefers more of a woman, ex. lua is more traditionally womanly.
and claire likes a challenge, although he isn't in any danger and he's certainly never going to lose or die, it's at least more interesting to live with these guys. he probably officially considers himself engaged to chane and ladd is just his buddy or something.
they don't fight all the time or anything. it's just that sometimes ladd gets a little crazy or someone riles one of them up somehow and then the fighting starts. none of them are stupid-insane, after all - even ladd, probably the closest one to it, still has shown a lot of sense and judgement on when/who to kill. i don't think chane starts fights unless someone insults her dad, and she just retaliates if they attack her instead of fighting back to win. and i think claire likes fighting even if he doesn't like killing as much, but to claire anything that lets him practice his skills is good, so even if it's ex. really messily killing someone or otherwise doing something gruesome, if he gets to practice any skills (like the bone-carving, or acrobatics) it's all just seen more as practice than anything. also i don't think claire would bring either of them along to jobs, but he wouldn't mind if they were both to be assassins themselves (plus i kinda think he trains them during their fights, even if unintentionally). well, ladd IS an assassin, but doesn't it seem like while claire is the pick-and-choose killer who might get ex. political people, ladd always wants to be the kill-them-all killer who gets things like entire mafia factions, so their job descriptions are a bit different...
in canon though, i think claire does actually train chane somewhere. i don't think her balance would be that good otherwise, and he also wouldn't know her fighting so well.
i think ladd has something against rich people, even though he seems to have grown up rich or at least recently he's rich. but i think claire lives semi-poorly even if he buys expensive things, just 'cause he moves around a lot. he can't actually own a fancy house or car 'cause he'd have to ditch it soon anyway, or he'd need five houses all across the country or something. they did say he has a house with chane though and its possible he has a car in New York...??
anyway, just imagine. Keith and Berga both have someone, and then Claire lands THIS kind of deal, and Luck doesn't even have a girlfriend anymore (they mentioned something about her leaving him or fighting with him i think)... heh.
