Aaaaah! I'm going to Disneyland this weekend! :D I've never been, which I am constantly mocked for at school considering its only like 5-6 hours driving distance away from here. So I'm excited-I love theme parks. I've also already decided I'm getting either a kickass pirate hat, or an equally kickass Indiana Jones hat. hee -dork-
Other then that, I've started trying to preemptively beat the Freshman 15 (pounds) before college. I'm trying to get in two rounds of exercise a day (jogging or gym in the morning, swimming laps or at least a brisk walk in the evening). And I'm attempting to knock junk food back off my diet; so far that's going all right, but then again I've only been doing this for two days now. We'll see if I can keep it up. But I definitely have gained a lot of weight since this time last year and I'm not happy about it. I'm feeling pretty optimistic and determined about this though. It's kind of fun if I pretend it's a challenge or a game or something. haha
On another note, I've been meaning to do this for a while, and that's post a few fic recs! Whoo! :)

Smooth by
third_times. Dudley/Fleur, PG-13, 980 words. HILARIOUS! It's wonderfully written and all the characters are so vivid. You're gonna love Dudley; he's a riot. Set a couple years after the war wherein Harry and Dudley occasionally meet-up for lunch to catch-up. (Also titled "And So the Lorry Fell in Love with the Lamborghini, or Thirteen Times Dudley Dursley Was Almost a Likeable Character" - this is only installment #1.)

Living a Little by
peskywhistpaw. Sirius/Lily, PG, 4,000 words. I love it when she writes Sirius and Lily together, both characters are very vibrant and delightful. In this particular piece, Lily gets locked outside of the castle and Sirius will only let her in if she completes a few "simple" tasks for him. It's really very sweet and funny, go read it!
I thought I had one or two more, but those are the only two I can think of for right now that I really wanted to blab about. :)
Oh, and I signed up for the
rs_games again this year! Go team Canon! woot woot! I'm really excited; the prompts are pretty sweet and I have an idea already forming. I'm excited to see all the great stuff that will come out of this. There's an insane amount of talent, and some of the ideas people are tossing around sound more than awesome.
