Let g_n be the number of glasses in the Nebuchadnezzar at the end of the nth day. So we want to find g_0, and have the recurrence:
g_(n+1) = g_n - g_n/g_0 = g_n(1 - 1/g_0)
So g_n = g_0(1 - 1/g_0)^n, meaning that:
g_0/2 = g_0(1 - 1/g_0)^14
2^(-1/14) = 1 - 1/g_0
g_0 = 1 / (1 - 2^(-1/14) or about 20.7 glasses
