Don't have to miss the first day of state Masterminds
If you haven't figured it out yet, that means the baseball team lost. I won't bore you with details of the game, but know that it was awful. This year I've been through a bunch of "lasts" with band, math, and masterminds, but this was easily the worst. I'm gonna miss shagging balls in the outfield with 27(Ryan O'Keefe), laughing at Harrison Youngblood's misguided attempts at using big words, watching Cobb work his magic, hell, I'm even gonna miss running poles, but most of all I'm gonna miss reaching back and throwing a fastball with everything I got on it. Some of the guys on the team have been my teammates since I was in Little League, and other than Cobb, every one of us played in our last meaningful baseball game today.
The silver lining is I don't have to miss any of state. I have to admit that right now it feels like finding a quarter in a barrelful of dog crap, but it's better than nothing.
