In case you were entertaining doubts, I just want to remind you that Echo Echo Echo Echo Echo... is the best, sweetest, cutest, most loveable cat that has ever been a cat!
Speaking of cat, I have cataplexy, which is actually kind of very fun, but maybe if it gets bad I will wear a helmet all the time and not just on my bike and karaoke nights at the VFW.
I get to do a sleep study!
I have been writing this gargantuan mess of a poem-I-guess, and now it's falling away from me, I have lost my energy. Need inspiration.
Working on memorizing this lovely bitter little Aragon piece. So far I've got:
Let's spit the two of us let's spit
On what we loved
On what we loved the two of us
Yes because this poem the two of us
Is a waltz tune and I imagine
What is dark and incomparable passing between us
Like a dialogue of mirrors abandoned
In a baggage-claim somewhere say Foligno
Or Bourboule in the Auvergne
If anyone can help me learn how to pronounce those damn French names, "Bourboule" and "Auvergne," I would be most grateful. I ought to start teaching myself some French. Keep my eye on the prize, Canadian citizenship oh yes.
Oh yes.
Let's spit.
Other noteworthy notables. This damn poem, it's just circling around my brain, bouncing restlessly and meantime I embarked on a new piece that's giving me a tummy ache, I can't put the words together right, they're all slurred on the page. Grief.
I have faith it will come together in the end. The same way I have faith that I can somehow live on grapefruit alone until I can secure some much needed fuck fundage
fuck fuck fuck I forgot to fucking call fucking Discover card and cancel the auto-payment I don't have $75 in my fucking account fuck. Fuck! Fuck!
I truly loathe money and would love to do away with it altogether, forever. Much better to have a skill, a marketable skill. Say, growing food and ensuring that the land is properly cared for so it remains arable and healthy. Say, sewing and knitting and darning. Say, building shelters. Say, building solar panels. Say, fixing bicycles. Say, collecting and purifying water. Say, teaching-learning in a democratic classroom. Say, serving one's community. Say, making art and sharing it, writing songs and poems, telling stories, singing and playing instruments, building campfires and canoes...
