Opening the Notebook.

"I'm not supposed to be here."
“Of course you are, you are here, and therefore you are supposed to be here.”
Gydar strained his eyes in concentration. He couldn’t remember why he wasn’t supposed to be here, or what was wrong, but something certainly wasn’t right. He gave out a sign, still trying to remember what was missing from his head.
“You are here; therefore you are supposed to be here.”
Gydar gave up trying to think of why he didn’t belong in this strange place, but the feeling remained.
“The first thing you need to learn here is that wherever you are, that’s where you need to be.”
“Ok…”Gydar still wasn’t sure why he wasn’t supposed to be here, but since there was no reason forthcoming, he decided the best course of action was to follow.
“It’s time to go.” The girl’s speech was very direct, almost commanding.
Gydar gave the same look of concentration as before. He couldn’t remember where he was supposed to be going, or why. In fact now that he thought about it, he couldn’t remember anything of what he was supposed to be. He was sure that this was normally a point of large concern, but for the life of him, he couldn’t find it in himself to be concerned.
The girl began to walk down the path in the woods. She never turned to check and see if he followed, but Gydar followed her trail. He wasn’t sure where he was going or what he was doing, but he knew that the path would reveal itself in its own time.
