academic strife
so i finished the only exam i decided to take this quarter. its really rather interesting because this is the only letter grade im expecting as well. so heres a glimps of my grades for this quarter:
NAS 10 - ENWS (missed the drop date by a day and then i got stuck with a class i never went to)
AMS 120 - TBD choice of F, ENWS, or Incomplete...trying to get her to advance me a Passing (read on)
PSC 162 - Incomplete. i asked for this when i realized i dont have the stamina for an 8AM class. that and getting the lowest score on the first midterm sorta made it pointless. yes i did study too.
ASA 192 - Pass. internship so yeah...no brainer there.
ASA 111 - B or C depending on how i did on the exam +/- the curve.
what does this all mean? well i screwed up this quarter, no excuse there. i face the possibility of being dismissed due to quantitative reasons. students are expected to complete 39 units per school year. i will have completed 35. thats why im gonna try n ask my AMS prof to advance me the units cuz she knows im good for well beyond a C (which is the lowest grade required to get a P) in her other classes, i got As so she doesnt have to do doubt my efforts. then again, what im asking is obsurd so you know...eh we will see how that goes.
so i filed for financial aid too since ill be 24 and "independent". i essentially get a full ride next year, but if i dont make 39 units, i lose the aid...and ill be required to file an appeal. not that i really care, but if the gov't wants to pay to educate me, then who am i to say no right?
now that exams are done, i will be spending the next 2 days battling it out with the academic advisors, deans office, professors and what nots. i dunno how good my persuasion is but nows the time where imma need to bring all i got n just duke it out. thank goodness i have a secret weapon or 2 up my sleeve. pays to know people i suppose. *crosses fingers* hopefully ill be able to work something out.
