Review: Survival of the Fittest
Review for the season finale of Supernatural
I can't say I was particularly impressed with this finale. It felt slow going like "Lucifer Rising", but with a good cliffhanger. Though again someone ending up in a place they shouldn't be? Really? Don't say they come back all screwed up too and Sam gone bad without Dean again?
You know what season 7 has been to me? The opposite of Season 6. Last season started so badly, this one started great. Then season 6 picked up for me, but season 7 went downhill. Now it's far from season 4 - which is still my least favorite season, but it's been so... all over the place. Why are people complaining about season 6? lol. Geez. Anyway yeah that's why there's called different opinions lol. I'm not dissing anyone's opinions at all, but this is mine anyway.
Not even Kansas' did anything to me and not even a mention of Sam's Hallucinations?
What can I say? Castiel. I didn't want him back in the first place and now... we'll I'm 99,9% sure he will be back yet again. (But Misha don't be so damn cute!!) Hurray... It's just frustrating me so damn much. I've had so damn enough of him and now we get another season of gay jokes between Dean and Cas?
Dick's death was kinda anti-climatic. The shockwave thing was kinda cool, but... eh?
Bobby! :( I hated to see him go, but the sudden hulking out everytime he saw Dick was starting to get so damn stupid. Being a ghost was cool at first, but not anymore. Yeah kill the good characters and keep bringing back the fan favorite...
Dean ending up in Purgatory... I dunno. It's kinda cool and I loved the shadowy monsters we saw around there. It did feel terrifying. But come on. Do they have to go to these shitty places after every season to make next season another "OMFG the things I saw, but I will not talk about it because I'm a man and I don't talk about feelings!!!"? So anyway here's me hoping for Sam not going bad all over again and Dean not to be stuck there for too long. Poor boy. He was even ditched man! BUT - if the case is that Dean saw all this bad shit - PLEASE TALK TO YOUR DAMN BROTHER!!
SAM! OMG when is he at the worst? When he's alone! Oh come on JODY MILLS GO FIND HIM! Or the other way around. This is the perfect time for Sam to get help from a woman THAT IS GOOD!! *hugs Sam* *hugs Dean* Omg...
Speaking of splitting the boys up... again. Why? AGAIN? You gotta be kidding. That's another thing about this season. It's been so much more about everyone else but the brothers and on top of that they split them up. I seriously hope season 8 is better then this. I mean when I managed to enjoy not!Sam with Dean more then this then... then what?
Anyway it felt lacking and slow going and I'm dissapointed. But maybe I just need to watch it again and see it with different eyes right? I'm gonna tune in for season 8 of course though. Since when has I've been able to ditch Supernatural because of dissapointments?
