Review: Reading is Fundamental
My review of 7x21 “Reading is Fundamental” with caps!
"We broke this thing open last night and every maternety wards in a 5 miles radius got slamed : looks like any woman in their last month of pregnancy got into labour !"
That was SO a mention to Genevieve and Jared’s baby popping out the week before this episode! Lol. Cute.
I think the writers on Supernatural are good at writing comedic characters - especially Edlund. The whole new prophet thing sounded kinda eeeh to me at first, but I liked the actor they picked. He was entertaining and funny. Especially with those frightened sounds he makes when Sam runs after him hahaha They do like writing «geeky» characters this season though lol.
Castiel. The character I really didn’t want back is of course back. I didn’t mind him much in the episode and Misha’s oh so cute. Just too much Cas and Meg in this one. Though I actually do like Meg. I could really feel with Dean and the annoyance of this Cas.
Speaking of Dean. I’ve seen comments about people thinking he’s being out of character and so mean. How is the out of character and how is he being unfairly mean? I don’t think he is. Dean has always been more of a though guy and since when has he been good to Meg? Why should he be. She might be helping at the moment, but at one point so did Ruby and we all know how that ended. Castiel hurt the one person in Dean’s life you do NOT hurt. Sam might be forgiving, but it’s fully in character of Dean to still be bitter over it. It’s not like he’s throwing Cas to the dogs. Give him time.
I think Rachel was better again in this episode. I felt that she was kinda off in «Born Again», but here she was back to good old cool Meg. I like scens between Meg and Sam because I just think of the first season and go like "Wow. She's been on a loooong time." Different actress of course, but I've liked both Meg's.
Ugh more angels! Keep them off man! The only welcoming angel is Gabriel comprende?
Edgar is alive? The Ceasar Millan lookalike leviathan? Lol. Nice surprise cuz I thought he died in that episode Bobby was shot. Then again it’s a million years since I was that episode heh. He’s cool though. It was cool to see him again! I actually do like the leviathan storylines. They’re cool, they’re intelligent and badass.
I want more Winchesters!! I feel that there is soooo much focus on guest stars these days! The guest stars has mostly been cool, but still - The Winchester Brothers hello?? I also want the Impala back man! I mean she’s been gone since «Slash Fiction» right? That’s way too long! And it’s two episodes left? Too late man! But it’s gonna be epic seeing her again obviously.
Anyway good episodes with a few ‘meh’ .
