Dazed and confused
Discovered today that someone took such a shine to my wing mirror that they took it.
I mean who steals a wing mirror. Thought at first that it was just vandalism, sidewalk side door, cars been broken into before, so far so predictable. But after hours of meticulous searching, ha NCIS and CSI finally become useful, it appears that it was taken for parts. Electrical wiring cut with wire cutters, plier marks on the paint work (they scratched my paintwork!) but ner ner on them cos the wires on my mirrors are real short, need to access through trim panel and so they had to cut above the connector so hopefully it'll still work when I get a replacement from a breaker.
Am attempting a level of Zen and balance about it. Im fine, noone I care about was injured(according to my father the car doesnt count, its inanimate-shows what he knows- and its just a thing. THings can be replaced. The calm approach falls down at the REPLACED AT COST side of things. And the lack of transport to go to a party tomorrow(too late for train tickets to be affordable&spine can't cope with coaches). I was looking forward to dressing up as Seely Booth. Was gonna get a fake badge and everything. Borrowed a labcoat for Brixxx too so she could be Bones. Plus watch Brixxx get alot of people drunk with her bartending skills. COcktails tend to get stronger and paler as the night wears on, its amazing.
I'll work on the calm.
On the plus side, got bitten by a nice SG-1 AU bunny last night so going to start work on that, see where it takes me.
