Pirates and stuff
I saw the newest Pirates of the Carribean movie yetserday...and I must say that it was AWESOME!. Though I do have to say that the ending was a HUGE kick to the crotch...since they obviously left it wide open for the third one and now we have to wait months or years for it. Kinda like the last Harry Potter book. Grrr!
Also recently, I've gone back to read some of the old WEb Comics that I used to visit daily. It was kind of nice, not spending hours in WoW and just reading something fun that someone else has put forth the work to make. At one point, I myself wanted to start one, but then I got accepted to Full Sail and knew that the class schedule would severely screw with keeping the comic updated and ready. That always made me a bit miffed, when web comic artists would take days at a time off from making a new comic, sometimes with no better excuse than "I was playing EQ <3" (WoW didn't exist at the time...). I really would like to do one, but being in school still means I don't have the time to dedicate to it that I should if it ever got a fan base. Not to mention my potential jobs afterwards likely wouldn't allow me the free time either, or (in the case of Disney) the Intellectual Property rights to keep it.
I suppose I could always just buckle down and draw it a little each day to see how things go, but generally after 8 hours straight of class/lab my will to work is mostly shot. I suppose it would REALLY help if I had the story finished too...which I haven't TOUCHED in years.
