I wanted to send this to the people at
20 Questions, but their stupid form wouldn't let me.
There is a major flaw in many of these games - the questions asked are completely random, and not based on previous answers.
When I am thinking of Mark Hamill, and have already answered "yes" to the questions "are you an actor?" and "are you a man?", it still asks me questions such as "are you about dogs?", "do you take place in Miami?" and "were you made after the year 2000?" - all irrelevant questions.
Also, the second question even asked was "are you an American hockey player?" when it had not even been able to deduce whether I was supposed to be an athelete, or even human.
The game will also ask me the same question reworded or inverted, unaware that it is even related, let alone identicle. For instance, the game will ask the questions "do you have dark hair?", "do you have brown hair?" and "do you have blonde hair?" all in the same game.
The basic principle of this game is deeply flawed, making no comparison to other answers and questions, but instead taking each question as an independant property not associated with any other property. According to this game, the property of having children is not in any way related to being a person or not. If enough people told the game that "Star Wars" was a 1970s film with children, the game would assume it was so.
According to the wikipedia article entitled "Twenty Questions", the game SHOULD be played with halving questions - for example if it is concluded that the answer is indeed a person, the next question should be "are you a woman?" for the answer will reduce 50% of all people in the world. The next question should NOT be "was your first album released before 1990?"
This is a stupid and easily stumped game. Without lying, I have never been beaten by this game except once, when I simply took the first two questions to be true and THEN figured out someone world-renowned to be the answer. The first two questions were "are you funny?" and "do you have children?" My answer was Jon Stewart. And by the way, your computer believes the answer to the question "are you a stand-up comedian with your own show?" in regards to the above person, is no. Simply. Stupid.
