How do plans fall through

Well yesterday I was gonna go visit Paul in Fairview at his grandparents cabin. I waited for him to show up and pick me up at the Wendys for a couple hours. That was OK because I had a new book on tape. His mom had called me and told me his car broke down on the way to get me so I really didnt mind waiting so long. Eventually I did get sick of it. The book on tape wasn't THAT good. So I drove up to Salt Lake and picked up him, Liz and the kids and we went to Village Inn for breakfast. It wasnt too bad. I got Western Crepes with swiss cheese on them and salsa. We hung out for about an hour before I took them back. Their car was still not fixed so they probably were unable to go to the cabin. I felt pretty bad about that.

Well, while we were there another friend of mine called. She was upset and having a crisis in her relationship. I will not go into any of the details but I picked her up and took her out for ice cream and then she bought a parakeet at the pet store for companionship.

After I dropped off my friend, I decided I wanted to get some Absolut Pepar Vodka for Ambers party. I didnt want to show up empty-handed (although lots of people did so it would have been fine). Anyway the booze store in the avenues closed at 7 and I got there at 7:04. The fuckers already had their door locked. I drove around SLC for a while looking for the one there but couldn't find it. It was rush hour and I didnt like driving about like that so I drove out to the one in the old Movie Buffs building in Magna. They closed at 7:00 too! That is fucked up. Oh well. I drove past Packard Bell/Alorica on my way to the Liquor Store on 5400 South and texted James to see if he wanted a break from work. He didnt answer until I was almost at the place but then I drove back past (didnt want to fight with 5400/Redwood traffic so I went the long way back through magna) so I stopped and grabbed a quick smoke before the party. I was very suprised that the PB Smiths was gone.
