Happy LJ birthday to me!
It's my one year LJ birthday today! Presents for all!
The dance went well last night. Though I trivialized being songmeister as throwing songs into Winamp, I feel it is a significant responsibility. I had to read the crowd and play things that went well with the general mood - or at times help nudge the dancers toward a certain energy level. Overall it was pretty good. There were a couple of times, though, when some people were being pretty insistent with requests, and it got a little bit annoying. For the most part, everyone had a good time, and toward the end, several people came over to thank me for picking a good selection of music.
I'm feeling a little sick right now; it's probably because I had some coffee on an empty stomach and ate my first meal of the day only about an hour ago. Also, moving a hot tub might have something to do with it. Oh yeah! We have a hot tub, now! Aundrea's friend was getting rid of it, so he gave it to her. It's too bad I'm leaving in a few months - I'll just have to make the most of it while I'm still here.
