All right. So the computer ate my mongo entry from a few days ago. I had all these memes and they were cool. But now they're gone. Basically what I wanted to say is that I'm glad that those who went to prom had a fabulmongolous time, and though I still think it's a shallow, overrated commercial ploy, I might have been bothered to attend had I been, well, there and not here. And "here" is a place I would not wish my worst enemy to be. And by the way, that's never truly been clarified; who IS my worst enemy? ....We'll never know. Well, maybe one day, when I discover snakes in my bed, but until then, I stall remain in the dark as to whom this enigmatic person truly is.
Finished Lord of the Flies about a month early, I believe. The end is so abrupt that for a while I entertained thoughts of the author realizing he'd entangled the story too much and just wanted to end it fast. Hint to Mr. Golding: if that happens, you're book probably isn't too good. Although, I'll admit that it wasn't too terrible, and I was able to predict within the first two chapters that Simon and Piggy would die (they were the weakest ones), but I don't see why she's teaching this book. I talked to my mom about how SHE would teach it and what she came up with was much more interesting, not to mention a bit more difficult, that what we've been doing with it, namely compiling a list of qualities a good leader should have and talking about what we would take with us should we be marooned on a desert island. I mean, please. What is this: middle school? ANYway. I'm just a bit pissed off at that class.
