Haven't felt like posting much for a while.
Went to Ohio. It was good, but made me sad. I saw almost everyone I wanted to see, but didn't get to spend much time with most of them. For many, the conversation went:
"Conor! What are you doing here?"
"Drove up from Alabama for the event."
Alabama? How's that going?"
"I live in a swamp. How good can it be?"
"Man, that sucks."
**More people flag me down.**
"Talk to you later."
"Cool."
Lather, Rinse, Repeat.
Very depressing in a way.
Still, I got to hang with my kids (but not enough to get me out of crappy father status), and my goddaughter (but not enough to get me anywhere near out of crappy godfather status), and hang out with The Knight (tm) for quite a while, which I really needed.
Spent time with Nicole who was in from Seattle, which was way cool, and made Steve make his ape noises, which was apparently hilarious. He's a good addition to the household.
Got to see Lee, which had started to be a rarity while I was still in Ohio. I hurt him, I think, during the "Great Wedding Fiasco." We hadn't been the same after, but things seemed better this visit. He's my favorite brother, and I may not show it, but I miss him.
Bah... melacholy.
Work sucks. Our production load is increasing, but my bosses (The Guys in the Big Floppy Shoes) won't incrase our manpower (or more importantly, start a second fucking shift. We're getting buried alive, and I keep hearing "What's the problem, Richard."
Why, boss... You and the rest of the moron squad are."
But, ya can't say that to your boss.
Things with Tina are still going really really well.
We fought for most of the Ohio visit. I was being a selfish dick.
We're over it now.
Joined a gaming group, finally, and of course, the DM said, "Rick DMs? Boy, I sure would like to play. It's been a loooong time since I got to play."
So I'm the DM starting Saturday.
We'll see how it goes. I'm a little rusty.
The group is cool, though.
That is all. Time for bed.
I think that's it
