Drum Corps

so, I got offered a spot with the Troopers
Divison 1 Drum Corps

They are stationed in WY. That is a little far. A camp every month, but their camps are only $40. Tuition is 1200. I only have two more summers before I age out of being able to be in a drum corps. Now, I am thinking, should I try to get more experience and have a lot of fun with a corps and then try again for the Bluecoats the summer after that? That idea will be a lot of money, and I am not sure I can afford it. It would also be a ton of fun marching DCI for two summers.
Or should I save money and practice my heart out on trying again for a spot on the Bluecoats in 2008? This idea is scary because what if I don't get good enough for my last chance of being able to participate in DCI. Then again, I think my parents would tell me to only do one summer. Pick which one I want to do. Part of me does not think I am ready to do a summer of this tough labor. The other part of me thinks that is the pain talking.

What the hell would you do if you were in my position?
