HAPPY NEW YEAR. ♥
I don't know how I feel about 2005 ending. Or 2006 beginning.
I think 2005 was alright for me. It certainly had its ups and downs.
I know some things this year were particularly hard on my friends & family.
Looking back, I suppose I'm glad to have experienced most of it.

To be honest, I was having trouble remembering just everything that happened this year. So, I went back on my old xanga & livejournal entries and picked out some of my favorite memories from the year, and some of the most significant moments. Pictures included. :]

This is my 2005.

In January,
Sammy & I baked a devil's food cake at her house and covered it with chocolate frosting...that was made with real butter!
My english class danced to the Cotton Eye Joe and the Chicken Dance, as part of our unit on poetry.
I started talking to Crystal and Olga on xanga.
Sammy & I discovered that the sound turtles make is "bloobbloob."
And, Jacqui & I had a super-duper time watching Care Bears and Rainbow Brite, and learning about rape from Winnie the Pooh.

In February,
Jacqui & I learned that adding pink food dye does NOT make every recipe better.

Jacqui was given the nickname "GretelPretzel."
We met Mr. Brower, the craziest gangster creative writing teacher in history, who says things like "Holla at yo' boy boy!" and asks his students "what's-crack-a-lackin?"
I spent my Valentine's Day with my one true love, Ferris Bueller.
Jacqui officially dubbed me "SappleRapple" when we decided to replace the letter "a" with "apple."
I started talking to Katie, Sofa, and Tegan on xanga.
Stephanie, Laruen, Jacqui & I turned Earth Science into snack time by bringing in Twinkies and caramel apple lollipops for our "quadrant."
Sammy & I listed the reasons why we're the biggest freaks on the entire planet, read queer Pokemon fanfics about GANGSTUH PIRATES, were sucked in by the addictive power of the numa numa dance, listened to Pokemon songs in German, and began our never-ending fight over James from Team Rocket [who's STILL mine, by the way] at what was undoubtedly the dorkiest sleepover of the year.
Sammy, Jess, Jacqui, Chelsea, Rose, Nancee, et moi went to see HELLOGOODBYE at the Downtown. [And discussed the similarities between Ash Ketchum and Seth Cohen on the way there.]
And, Sammy & I watched Pokemon Heroes together and officially dubbed ourselves ANNIE & OAKLEY - pawtnuz in crymee fo' lyfe.

In March,
Sammy & I competed with Renee & Kelly for the title of BIGGEST WEIRDOS. [we totally won.]
Emile, Warren, Rose, & I climbed out Mr. Serif's window onto the roof of the school, while Jacqui stood guard outside the door.
Crystal & I discovered that we have a half blood princess sixth sense when we both wore Mardi Gras beads to school on the same day.
Jacqui, Rose, Kim & I watched Grandpa's Magical Toys after school with Ms. Brazil. HAMBONE!
Lauren, Keisha, Freddy, Sade & I had a strange discussion about prostitutes and leprechauns during English class.
Emille broke a desk in our Global classroom.
Sammy & I began the fight over Aladdin, and did the PIRATE JIG for the very first time.
Ms. Brazil gave us a quiz that involved listening to Tina Turner and Led Zeppelin.
The Stupid Shoettes reuinted to watch The Incredibles and eat strawberries that we couldn't fit in our mouths.
And, I learned how to break into my own house.

In April,
Sammy & I watched Herclues whlie eating oreos with peanut butter, and decided that if one of us dies, the other will get a hot guy to come kiss them and bring them back to life.
The school play, "Anything Goes," gave everyone hot pants.
At Itgens, we dropped a spoon on the floor, and I told Jen not to pick it up, because IT'S COVERED IN GERMS!
The Hot Fries Cult was founded by me, Jess, Danny, Jenny & the rest of our lunch crew.
Rose took us all ito this amazing restaurant the city in a limo for her fifteenth birthday. How awesome.

In Global class, we found a "Hymn to the Gods of Wine" on the internet, and sang it aloud.
And, I played dead Juliet in our English class' wonderful reinactment of Romeo & Juliet.

In May,
My amazing starving artist buddy Jess took me to a Hellogoodbye show on my half birthday.
SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL. Jacqui & I fenced for our classmates and I stole candy from my friends at the Apothecary. I looked like a whore, and was continuously told so by Carolyn. We sat in a circle on the floor and watched Freddy play guitar. Danny stared at my chest, and Ena warned me that I'd be raped walking home.

Sammy & I watched The Lion King and shared the Dead Moose Song with my sister, at another one of our dorky sleepovers.
I'D LIKE TO BE UNDER THE SEA IN AN OCTOPUS' GARDEN IN THE SHADE.
And, we began our struggle to get into the Instrument Graveyard in band.

In June,
Pirate Llamas attacked.
Some phoeloxes made our Creative Writing project rather difficult to accomplish.
We said goodbye to Memorial JHS and all its wonderful memories.
The monkey in the tree went up and down my hair.

End of school Promotion Dance at Jillian's. Meditating in silent protest of the awful music & winning Patrick dolls.

We celebrated the long-awaited end of finals at the diner.

Sammy & I spent two days and $20 buying The Swan Princess at Blockbuster.
Jess got an awesome band to play a show for us in her basement.

We hung out in the playground by Shaw. Because you're never too old for that. :D

And, I made this livejournal. :] And became friends with all you cool people.

In July,
I got over him. Whether permenantly or not.
I met Lorraine at my crazy neighbor's Fourth of July party.
I worked [without pay] as a Summer Recreation counselor, and met some, eh, interesting people.
HARRYPOTTER&THEHALFBLOODPRINCE. Sammy & I went to this terribly lame release party at Border's, where we ate soap-flavored jelly beans, among other things, and got our books at midnight on the sixteenth. :D
And, Sammy, Jen, & I celebrated Jen's birthday by seeing Wedding Crashers and getting some ice cream and Coldstone...and were poorly serenaded by random guys on the street.

In August,
My cousin got into some sort of gang war on the beach with kids much older than him, as Sammy, Danielle & I watched in amusement.
Sammy & I became readdicted to The Palace and our crazy schizofrenic/multiple personality games. LMAO.
Jackie went to Cotillion with TOMF, Ryan acted like Ron, and Brian fell in love.
I developed a strange obsession with Danny Phantom.
And, I met the most amazing boy ever, and talked to him about Harry and the Potters. [I pretty much never saw him after that.]

In September,
JACQUI'S POOL PARTY. Being extremely violated, attempting desperately to dunk Emile, watching Emile & Rele rub lotion on each other, and, as always, watching Eurotrip.

School started once again. Blech.
Sammy & I learned that it costs $10 to cross the street, played the "pick couples out of a basket" game, and formed our amazing band, Arthur and the Singing Chameleons.
Jacqui, Rose, Kim, Sammy & I searched for Emile & Rele at football practice, and cheered on a turtle trying to get into the lake in the park.
Annie & Oakley continued to fight over animated boys.

CANADA! Trip with my sister, aunt & uncle.

We toured Montreal,

Met relatives, and hung out with crazy cousins we never knew we had.

And, I developed a bizarre obsession with Teen Titans, thanks to my cousins, my friends, & Taking Back Sunday.

In October,
Danny, Sammy & I walkedome from The Crier meeting discussing Pokemon.
Sammy, Jacqui, & I threw a Teen Titans marathon bash. And learned how to swing dance from a video.

We had yet another Annie & Oakley dorkfest sleepover, focused around Pokemon & Naruto.
The highlight of the school pep rally was watching a little kid trying to pop balloons.
Jacqui & I danced and played in the rain, and I borrowed her pants.

We said goodbye to John Labarbera, a truly amazing person and a great saxophone player, who passed away on October 18th, at the age of 16. Never had Central High School been so united as in mourning his loss. The band played in his memory at the Newsday Competition, every member wearing armbands with his initials. "This one's for you, John," we screamed. I like to think he heard us, wherever he is now.

Sammy & I debated possible halloween costume ideas, including a strawberry & a banana, Nurse Joy & Officer Jenny, and Princesses Peach & Daisy.
We took Personality Disorder Tests online. I'm highly Narcissistic, apparently.
Newspaper crew went on a field trip to Nassau for a journalism conference.

Sammy, Jacqui, Rose, & I discovered that our school has balconies.

HALLOWEEN PARTY. Dancing like whores. Truth or Dare. Breaking my couch and trashing my basement. Love songs. Queer moments. Lots of pictures, videos, and blackmail. What happens in my basement, stays in my basement.

We celebrated Halloween in school by helping out at the party for the little kids.
Sammy and Jacqui gave us an important lesson in spelling.

And, we saw kids dressed as Mario & Luigi. And Sammy told Mario that we had been planning to dress up as Peach & Daisy. Now, we laugh everytime we see them.

In November,
I turned fifteen! And absolutely nothing changed.

Sammy, Jacqui & I destroyed the innocence of Teen Titans and Barbie dolls.

A few days later, we became ninja! BELIEVE IT! We went on a secret mission threw my crawl space, wore special ninja pajama pants, and earned the titles of ninjasquarepanl, ninjamolested, and ninjarainbow.

Sammy & I unsuccessfully attempted and neglected to finish making Leaf Village headbands.

We celebrated Sammy's fifteenth birthday at Friday's, dancing like idiots in the street, and scaring everyone around us by yelling weird things.
Jacqui & I discovered our gangsterr side. Uh-huh.

And, HARRYPOTTER&THEGOBLETOFFIRE. Sammy & I saw it after school on opening day. Then we had Starbucks. :D

In December,
Sammy & I accidentally walked into the boys' bathroom at school.
Our school was on MTV. This girl Nadia was "Made" into Central Idol. But, she didn't win, and the show was pretty boring.
Sammy & I watched the best episode ever of Full Metal Alchemist, and rolled around on the floor for fun.
I went Christmas shopping with my ninja buds. Sammy & I wreaked havoc in the mall, accidentally spilling our food numerous times.
We watched Winnie the Pooh get stuck in his friend's door and sing about being proud to be fat, and teach us, once again, that "there are certain parts of your body that should never be touched by anyone other than you." And we heard Alvin and the Chipmunks talk about marijuana.
Sammy, Jacqui, Rose, Kim & I sang carols in the park with Tri-M, and watched Santa show up on a firetruck.
A bird pooped in my hair when I was walking home from school with my friends.
I fell in love with the anime Bleach, and the main character, Kurosaki Ichigo.
I baked cookies at midnight, because I was bored.
We exchanged Christmas cards & presents on the last day of school before break.

Sammy, Chelsea & I hung out at Sammy's after school, played Harry Potter Scene It, and laughed hysterically about random things like tortillas.
We had a super ninja sleepover at Jacqui's house, playing with barbies and watching Fruits Basket.
Sammy, Jen, & I went to Jillian's, and amused ourselves with canoe and horse-racing games.
JACQUI'S BIRTHDAY PARTY. We exchanged some more gifts, watched Eurotrip, tried to force the guys to dance, and had extremely violent and somewhat destructive pillow fights.

That, my friends, is my 2005 in a nutshell.
Here's to a 2006 full of even more awesome and random memories.
Just, maybe, without the sad ones. Although, I guess the sad things are necessary in life.

[You have no idea how long it took me to put this stupid thing together.]
