Hopping around just seems to be what I do. I figure I cycle MMORPGs once every three months or so; sometimes longer, depending.

That said, I'm still having a blast in CoH. I'm in a superhero mood, I guess.

I checked out the test server briefly, but I didn't have a character high enough level to visit Croatia. So, I tooled around with Archery and Sonics, and they were pretty neat. Nothing world-shattering, they're just powersets after all, but cool nontheless. CoV is what I think will reinvent the game.

So what does Archery fall under? Blaster? I've been curious about that.

It varies: there's Archery (attacks) and Trick Arrow (effects like hold), and a Sonic Blast (attacks) and Sonic Debuff (debuffs). Class-wise it breaks down like this:

* Sonic Blast (Blaster Primary and Defender Secondary)
* Sonic Debuff (Defender Primary and Controller Secondary)
* Archery (Blaster Primary and Defender Secondary)
* Trick Arrow (Defender Primary and Controller Secondary)

Interesting... so a pure archer is a Defender? Hmmm...

When Archery goes live, I'll probably remake Kestrel into an archer as that was what I originally intended him to be. I guess the question now is do I go Blaster with Archery and Grenades or Defender and pure archer?

I need to log on the test server and scope it out, but I totally forgot how to do that.

I wasn't impressed with the Trick Arrow set. I was definitely leaning towards making Gyrfalcon a Blaster Archery/Devices.

Kestrel still has a CoH subscription although he doesn't get to play much. What server are you on KJ?

Mostly I'm on Virtue. That's where Sapien Prime resides. However, the name I reserved for my archer for Kestrel's bird-themed SG, Gyrfalcon, is on Pinnacle.

Actually, I logged in right after I read this post and did some house cleaning, killing off some old character concepts to make way for some new ones.

Nifties.

Although, I have to say I'm still leaning more towards the station access pack than picking up CoH. Way more games to pop back and forth between all for one low price!

Also, don't forget to re-map your keys on Ryzom so we can play some this weekend :)

Cool. I'm thinking I might resubscribe sometime close to when CoV is coming out. I'm still liking WoW, but I can already tell that farming up loot is going to be somewhat less than fun, so I'll have to see what the lvl 40-50 range is like before I decide for certain.

I hit 40, got my horse, and then quit.

When I return to WoW, which I will at some point, it'll be to play a Dwarf. I've been having Dwarf fever for some reason here lately.

Heh. Dwarves have the best animations and voice emotes...but the beards cover up the guild tabards =(

I've been happy with my choo-man for the most part...but I DO miss the awesomeness that is the Dwarven /dance
