I was very nearly in tears the other day at the Woodward Dream Cruise, because I wanted to call my mom and tell her about how cool her old neighborhood is.

One does not lightly shed tears at the gay bar ... Not that I'm gay, but they had the best seating for the car show.

Thanks. I hope by then I am halfway sane. I've been so touchy these days I'd be afraid to meet a new friend for fear of getting off on the wrong foot.

I got things that work for me, sometimes. This evening, I sat on a porch eating my dinner - looking at the guy begging across the street and listening to the chicks at the next table whining about their food. Then I got back to my rental car, turned on the radio, and took the slow way back to my anonymous hotel room.

Dunno. I'm no teacher. Maybe in the next go round. That, or else I hope to come back as my own pet. I think that's a pretty good gig too.
