Saturday Night at Ground Zero

So yesterday was pretty okay. I didn’t really do too much during the day, cleaned a little, talked to some friends, slept a lot… And then in the evening Shaina and Chris came and picked me up and we went to a local show at Ground Zero, where a couple of their friends were playing.

Shittiest. Venue. Ever. But sort of cute, at the same time. It was an all ages show, which meant Attack of the Painfully Scenester Middle Schoolers, which was actually pretty amusing in and of itself. A lot of them still had braces. *grin* I think my favorite snap shot of the evening was listening to a 14 year old girl talk about how she felt like such a slut with her tiny little bit of cleavage poking over the top of her shirt. This was amusing because I was not so demurely dressed. Although at Wellesley I would have been down right conservative.

The music was alright. Very pop/pop rock, and slightly too emo for my tastes, although the last three or four songs of Blane’s set was pretty decent. Danger Radio however was not so um, in tune. It was still nice to see Andrew, though. She’s looking good… actually pretty gosh darn hot if you ask me. Actually of all the bands, I thought the first one had the best music, even if it did sound a little processed. Absolutely no showmanship, though.

Blane… what performers. Oh my gosh. Alright, so the music was so-so. But they really got the crowed excited. Almost a little too excited. And Rory’s twitch dancing was really amusing. Random boys from the audience kept rubbing his hair, and I think he almost fell off the stage a couple of times. Good times to be had by all.

Afterwards we just sort of drove around for a while, and then came back to my house and just talked. Quite the pleasant evening, actually.
