Monthly update.
Ok, I've decided to just give updates at the beginning of every month from now on. In short, October was a month full of bullshit, a whole lot of stupid bullshit. don't even know where to begin.
-One morning I was forced out of my room at 9am and had to stay out til 3pm because of extermination. Apparently the room above us had bed bugs. I didn't even know those things actually existed.
-Last week our key system to our building wasn't working (it's like a hotel where you slide cards) and they had to have the doors unlocked all the time (real safe huh?). That is until midnight, in which case, if we weren't in the building we'd have to call security to be let in. Yes, they were trying to give COLLEGE STUDENTS a midnight curfew.
-One night Brent and I spent about 4 hours putting out fires by talking to people in an attempt to gain details on an event that occurred LAST Halloween. Yes, the Leach was spreading shit about something that happened a fuckin year ago. Basically, he tried to keep up with myself, Baer, and Smokey in terms of drinking beer. That's NOT a good idea. Then to try to prove how tough he was he decided to drink whiskey also. By the end of the night he's in the hospital for alcohol poisoning. A year later, he's telling people that Karen, Ian, and Eric (none of whom had ANYTHING to do with the situation) were literally pouring liquor down his throat. We confront him about it and he lies to our faces. Then we had to make sure other people knew the truth. Yea, we literally spent about 4 hours talking to people and sorting out this petty, petty, PETTY bullshit.
Yea, there's been some other bullshit mostly in classes stuff but that's all I can talk about for now.
-We had a very emotional night when Baer called us and said he couldn't tell us where he was being sent but that it was overseas and we should pray for him. As much as I knew the day would come eventually none of us were prepared for it. We were out of touch for two weeks then got a call saying he was back on base in Hawaii. He'll probably see action sometime in the spring, not that he has any control over it.
-On another sad note, Boomer's got testicular cancer. :-( Just what I need, another person on the verge of death.
On some much happier notes
-I'm currently directing a scene from "The Odd Couple" for my directing class. It opens first weekend in December.
-My stand-up comedy career is going rather well. I've finally introduced SU students to "you might be considered a freak." I've got other new material to perform in 2 weeks and my acting teacher knows of a local club looking for new talent.
-Halloween was awesome. I went as Al Capone (kinda fitting, yeah?). My night was concluded when at about 2:30am I left someone a facebook comment explaining how Helen Keller did not really exist and was merely a media creation in an attempt to inspire false hope into people who contribute nothing to society. Plus, she's the trump card in the game Apples to Apples. I have no memory of leaving said comment and am rather amazed that everything was spelled correctly and punctuated rather well. I couldn't help but laugh my ass off at myself and fortunately she found it funny too!
How's that for an ending?!
