Name: Annalisa "Little Orphan Annie" Gemma Miranda
Age/Birthdate: 27 / July 8, 1980
Occupation: *cough* Waste Management *cough* Member of the DeCavalcante crime family running out of New Jersey. Currently owns a small bar as her 'legit' operation (as learned by her grandfather, Joseph Miranda), but mainly deals in loan-sharking, gambling, and various racketeering schemes.

Fairytale: Captain of the Thieves from Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves.
Ability, if any: None.

History: Annalisa's parents were killed in a mob shootout when she was 12 years old. Rumors all around were that Tony and Gabriella had been threatening to leave the family to raise their daughter right and away from the influence of the Jersey Underworld. Up until that point, Annalisa was just a normal little girl. She went to school, played games with her friends, and was ushered out of the room when her various Uncles would come by.

Once her parents were gone, and custody of her was given to her grandfather, that's when Annalisa's life began to change, though it was difficult to say if it was for better or worse. She was old enough to understand what was going on, and her 'Uncles' kept a close watch over her, but they couldn't stop her from overhearing what was being done. Not that her grandfather tried to hide it from her. He actually encouraged her to get involved, which was unheard of. Women had a separate part in the Family. Girlfriends, Wives, never full members.

But, Annalisa knew too much. She knew how to run a high stakes poker game, and she knew where to find the people to play. She ran a few games during her time in high school, raking in more money than she really thought possible. Of course, she knew protocol, and gave her grandfather the appropriate cut. He was impressed by the envelope that she had handed over, and told her to just not step on anyone's toes.

Of course, times were not good for the DeCavalcante family, and many of their members were getting incarcerated or killed. They really needed all the help they could get. Grandpa Joey was getting old, and there was only so much that Annalisa could do. Once she was out of high school she took her place a bit easier, though most people just looked at her like a joke. Still, they couldnt deny the amount of money she could make.

Once she was 20, and pulling in weekly envelopes to her grandfather that tallied more than what the members at the same rank as him were bringing was when Annalisa was notified by the Aethenum of who she was. She laughed about it, but all the thoughts she had of how money was the most important thing, and the loyalty amongst her fellow Underworlders being just as important started to make sense, completely outside of the Family. The thoughts of her past lives where she just believed that she was dreaming, became more and more vivid, and the animosity she held to some unknown woman that was far beneath Annalisa became much stronger. After all, she was just trying to protect herself and what was rightfully hers, and that SLAVE kept getting in her way.

It took her about a year to actually embrace everything that she had come to understand, but she just maintained her place in the Family. She was getting more respect from some of the younger men that she would use for her racketeering purposes, but the older men still held strong to tradition. It took her until she was 25 to finally become a full member of the family, after much pushing by her grandfather.

There was no denying her place in the scheme of things, and she could command people to do her bidding as if she had been born to do it since time began. The only part that really kept playing over and over in her mind was the one person that got the best of her, and the one person that got away. They needed to pay. While she wanted to have that happen as fast as she could, she knew it was a touchy subject, and she had more pressing matters to attend to. She had her bar that she ran to keep a steady source of legitimate income coming in, on top of the dealings for the Family that had to be taken care of. There was no time to bother with her journal. Until now.

Now that everything has finally come to a head, and she's gotten a crew that is relatively intelligent, she can start the revenge that has come from lives past. All she can hope is that they don't get to her first.

Personality: Annalisa is a strong woman, that doesn't take shit from any person. She's been born and bred to have been respected, and she gets quite irked when she feels that she has been betrayed. She will stop at nothing to make sure the revenge is served, but her plans are generally well thought out, and precise, and they may take a month or two to work out, but it is well worth the wait.

Annalisa has a strong sense of loyalty to her underlings, and those that have gotten her respect have it for life. However, it takes quite a bit to get to that point. Until then, you're just another stepping stone in her path to riches. She has no concept of the value of human life, beyond her own.

It is rare to see a genuine smile on her face, and it only comes out when she's doing something illegal. Be it some murder, robbery, or the general poker game. Most people have tried to make her happy (the ones that are around her anyway), but they are always lacking SOMETHING she can't quite put her finger on. They don't complete her, and she has a feeling that will never go away until she can hunt down and get rid of the people that betrayed her.

She's not beyond joking and having a good time. She enjoys that. It just doesn't make her content. It has taken a lot of work for her to get to where she is now, and she's not going to let anyone take that from her. Not this time.
