Awesome
Exile went rather well. I've realized a whole bunch of things:
1) The Crest Premium Plus whitestrips hurt like hell... much more than the regular ones.
2) I love drinking Dr. Pepper (or Code Red Mountain Dew) out on the porch.
3) I am even more of a geek than I thought. (I was actually giddy when I found an English translation of Chalcokondyles through WorldCat. Also, I now love Stargate SG-1 and Battlestar Galactica.)
4) Talking about gambling is sometimes more fun than doing it.
5) Claudia Black is extremely gorgeous.
6) The Golden Palace just isn't as good as The Golden Girls.
7) I've forgotten how to use Microsoft Access.
8) I secretly crave home made French onion and home made cream of mushroom soup. Well, maybe not so secretly.
9) Nivea for Men products are the shit.
10) I can live without sex.
11) I can live very well without sex.
On another note, thanks to all those that wished me a happy birthday. I was up in Sault Ste. Marie at Kewadin Casino, and my phone was out of its area or something. So thanks to those that called, or commented, or posted, or graffiti'ed my wall on thefacebook. I appreciate it. The trip to the UP was very nice, I went to see the Soo Locks again, and that was fun, but I always like shit like that. I got three birthday cakes... one from Coyles' in West Branch on the 10th when we stopped there for lunch, one at the casino that night because I'm awesome, and Ma (I don't call her "Mom" so I'm going to type "Ma" from now on) bought a black forest torte from Frankenmuth that we had on my actual birthday the next day. I received many great gifts, especially since I didn't ask for anything. I didn't get carded once in the casino, even when I went to the bar to buy my Aunt Pat a beer. (If you were wondering, I didn't have anything to drink then, and I still haven't.) My 92 year old grandpa (PaPa Phil) stayed up until almost 2am gambling both days... when my Aunt Pat asked him when he went to bed, he responded "at night" to which I laughed uncontrollably.
My Aunt Pat and I bet on the November election (yes, we are Polish, we gamble on everything) and I won, to receive a banana split over Christmas time. Well, that was 9 months ago, and I still have no banana split. I'm figuring with interest I should have about 10 or 12 by now. Considering my weight gain, that is probably how many I could eat.
