Updating for no real reason
So last night was "informal pledging," which is as close as DU gets to hazing. It's all good though. It was acually kinda funny, but I'm not gonna go into it. Anyway, got my pledge dad, which is awesome, because the guy I got was my first choice, named John. Now that I think of it, here's actually a picture of him in my last entry. That also means he's my roomie next semester, which is great, because that means the room won't be an insane mess, like mine is now (not because of me though. actually two of us are very clean, it's just the third guy is a pig,). So tonight we're all (pledges) going to a mandatory alcohol awareness thing/presentation. it'll probably be funny, but it's in the middle of dinner, which means I'll be hungry. I think at this point I'm just rambling, but I don't care, and neither should you. I'll be going to Ichthus church meeting thing tonight, and it will pretty much be my last chance to get a date for the party tomorrow night, and my prospects aren't looking good. It's not that I really want to go (b/c I don't), it's just I really really don't want to not go. and there's no way I'm going stag unless others are too. And it sucks 'cause rutkowski is probably going out of town, so unless rob and michael have free friday nights, it'll suck. On a more upbeat note, i decided to skip calc lecture on tuesday, because I never learn anything from it, and it kinda confuses me. I decided i'd try teaching myself from the book. it turned out a lot better, and the recitation yesterday was the one I was most prepared for yet. all this translates to later tuesday/thursday mornings, which makes me very happy. also, kyle, if you're reading this, got the new John Mayer, and you are not exaggerating at all. it's really good, and a lot less pop-ish, which is a good thing.
