Complaint about Sherlock --
If you watch Sherlock on PBS and wonder why it's being cut from the BBC version when PBS is supposed to NOT cut episodes of shows...
Well, I e-mailed them about editing it.
Here's what they said.
I apologize for the inconvenience. However, this is a production issue. The Sherlock programming comes to us via the Masterpiece Mystery series. When we get the series through PBS it may be cut down. We do not have control over this. Normally PBS likes to keep programs within a certain timeframe to accommodate local have a few minutes between programs to promote the next program and to start the next program on time. This may be why you may have noticed some edits because PBS requires a certain length for all programs. We do not make these decisions at the local level. They are made at the national level and we are only able to air what is sent to us.
