Why would you hate yourself for doing the humane thing,Lori? If you'dve left it where you found it,it would have died a painful and exagerrated death. You tried to find it a home,because you are unable to keep it. The person you gave it to couldn't keep it either,and so,you are doing **THE** most humane thing possible. It'll likely be adopted anyway! It's young and CUTE. You gave it a chance at a home,twice over.You did everything you could. Don't worry,you did the right and proper thing.

I don't feel quite so bad about it with a day behind me now. You are right, it was the best option available, but when I was leaving I felt like had just stabbed a good friend in the back. :( I have no doubt she'll be adopted. I just hope it's soon. It's hard to think of her sitting in the pound; but I'll be ok in time.

If I had room for a dog or the schedule I would have adopted shadow. She is such a cute and playful puppy. She would will make a great companion for anything that adopts her.
