Puppy Search
Well, since my roommate who was allergic to dogs moved out I have been on the hunt, prowling the local dog pound, classifieds, and the free dog board at Pet Supplies Plus. Last week I thought I found her, a cute-as-hell half yellow lab half either Spitz or Samayd. I brought her home and spent the next several days solid trying to house train her.
This was a vain effort. Granted, she was a year old, but that shouldn't be too old to train at all. But this dog went to the bathroom about every 10 minutes, no joke. I took her back this morning and will keep looking. I want a dog so bad, and
it's pretty specific what I want. I don't want a dog that will be too big for living in an apartment in town, and I don't want a little yappy ankle bitter either.
I kicked around the idea of getting an Iggy, but we keep the house so cold in the winter that it really wouldn't be a good idea, they do not like the cold at all. Ideally I would like an Aussi Sephard or an Australian Cattle dog. Matt wouldnt' mind a Jack Russell, but I'm afraid of the bark factor there; though he said the ones he has didn't bark that much.
Ah, well. I'll keep looking, I WILL have a dog soon :)
