I felt it was appropriate.
Why?
...The year is 0079 of the Universal Century. A half century had passed since a certain Earth moved its bludgeoning population into orbiting space stations known as 'colonies'. Side 3, the cluster of colonies furthest from the Earth, declared itself the 'Principality of Zeon' and began a war of independence against the Earth Federation. Nine months passed and the war was in a stalemate with both sides losing half their respective population. September 0079, a young boy named Amuro Ray made a fateful encounter with what was called a Mobile Suit.
It's name was Gundam.
The name 'Gundam' has been passed down through the years and through the dimensions - most of which as a symbol of peace. Even I and my friends bear the name 'Gundam'. For many years, we have continued a tradition that started that fateful day... and I hope we can continue on for many more.
