Steve's birthday is today. :D He's one of the friends I have that belongs to the tiny and exclusive group of "friends my mom actually likes because they're 'NORMAL'".
He's back in the States after spending a year in Japan (it was a required part of his degree. I believe he's studying for Japanese Economic Science as well as conversational Japanese). aldjkfalsjdf I missed him so much and I'm glad he's back. ;A; He's so awesome. His birthday party is being held at a local bar one town over, so we're going to knock a few back and have a good time. It'll help me get my mind off my job-searching stress, too. The job market is a load of ass right now.
On another AWESOME note, a very pleasant surprise from Best Wishes today. Me and some others estimated that since the Sanyou Gym episode was in October, and the Shippou Gym ep is just now about to be broadcast, that we'd have to wait until February or even March to see Arty.
Not so! <3 He appears near the end of the preview video for the upcoming episodes! <3
Apparently the anime actually decided to follow the game somewhat and introduce him earlier (in Black/White, you meet him right after you get the Basic Badge and leave the Shippou Gym). He'll be appearing in the episode after the Shippou Gym eps, which will be sometime in early to mid-January.
...Which means that there'll also be fanart about that episode on Pixiv. <333
