Perhaps. I know crows can be a murder or a storytelling. I don't see why ravens can't have multiple names as well.

All birds are flocks. It's still less confusing than that, I think.

A flock is infinitely less cool than a murder.

Maybe that's why you can use it for more than one group of birds.
