Damn.

[Shuffleshuffle. There's the osund of someone flipping open something. His voice is a bit more distant now, like he's speaking into something else.]

[Wayward, Wayward... is there a ship in Starfleet called the Wayward?]

This is Captain James T. Kirk of the Starship... Enterprise. Come in, Wayward. Please, identify yourself.

This is Captain Johnathon S. Moyer of the Starship Wayward. What do you know of your location, Captain?

...thank God, someone's answered my distress call!

Listen to me, Captain. I'm... not sure, where I am. I seem to be on some sort of... ocean-going vessel, called the M.S. Elegante. That's... all I can tell you.

What is your location?

An ocean-going vessel? My God, what kind of planet are you on?

I'm aboard the Starship Wayward at the moment. Can you get somewhere where you can see the sky? We'll try to beam you up and see to it that you're returned to the Enterprise.

I'm... not sure. There doesn't seem to be any... land... in sight.

[There's the sound of a door opening and close and hurried footsteps.]

There don't seem to be any guards outside. I'll try and get up on deck. But... listen to me Captain... there seem to be others, like myself, who are trapped on this ship. Surely, you can... help them as well?

Hm. How in God's name did you get there if the ship is already so far out at sea?

... Others... Yes, we can help them. Do you know how many others are there? We may not be able to fit them all on board the Wayward, but we can contact another ship with more space.

I can't be sure... Captain. I simply... woke up here.

I'm not sure of the exact numbers. I've already discovered two, but from the massive size of this vessel, I would guess... there could be dozens... maybe hundreds.

Curious. They must have used a teleportation device.

Hundreds! We definitely don't have enough space aboard the Wayward. If we can get you back to the Enterprise, would you assist us?

Certainly, Captain! I can't let this... band of pirates and kidnappers continue to operate unhindered!

Fantastic! The Wayward appears to be above the M.S. Elegante right now. Are you out in the open?

captain_jtk January 26 2009, 02:35:51 UTC
Yes... I am. Tell me... have you managed to raise the Enterprise?

No. We appear to be unable to contact them, but we'll keep trying.

Alright, we're beaming you up now, Captain-

MY GOD!

[EXPLOSIONS. He's making them with his mouth, but they sound real-ish on the communicator!

Click!]
