Well, at least I know the antilocks work
Sometimes the Tourons here make me laugh. Other times I want to rip their throats out threw their nostrils. Today was one of the former.
Was coming home from work on the freeway when I came across a road closure. I said no problem as I can cruise all the way hom on Baseline anyway. So I'm heading down Baseline at about 50 and am just about to cross the next major intersection when I notice a car sitting by itself in the right lane about 100 feet back of the intersection with it's left turn signal on. Thinking that this was rather peculiar, I backed off the accelerator a bit. The stupid moron tried to cut across both of the other lanes of traffic to get to the left turn lane. Only problem was that he tried doing this directly in front of me. As soon as I saw him move, I moved my car as close to the median as I could, stood on the brakes, and layed on the horn. As soon as I hit the horn, he jerked back to the right.
I am thinking that he didn't even bother to look over his shoulder, just signalled and moved - and had no idea that there was a car approaching him at that speed (speed limit on that road is 45) as I noticed as I flew by that he had California plates on the car.
I am thoroughly enjoying the new job. I get a nice, air conditioned truck to deliver in, and the company has made it easy to find the addresses, and has also issued a cell phone. Only one problem. I miss my bunny :-(
