Haha, I'm doing the exact opposite this season----TV is good for Jess. Well, my whole house here has started watching CSI and House, so it's really their fault. Pack instinct. You know. ;)
No, but we mostly watch CSI now to root for the end of this horrible new Sara/Grissom thing. She didn't kick it in the premire as we had hoped, and it's just been downward spiral ever since. The last episode? Literally, ended with the whole cast GO-KARTING to a Placebo cover of a Kate Bush song, Grissom leading the race, wearing a stupid beret, while Sara (too injured from Mary Sue love drama for Go-Karting!!) watches, angstily. KEEP RUNNING UP THAT HILL SARA SIDLE ;.;
House, actually, has been banging this season. It's just been one good House/Wilson scene after another. I was getting a little worried, with the whole Tritter debalacle, and you know, House firing the cast, but oh my gosh, they took that ball and just ran with it.
I think the real key to enjoying said programs, though, is staying out of the nasty fandom. *shakes head*
Yeah, I should watch House again... but it's difficult to get back into a fandom that's fallen out of favor, you know what I mean?
Sometimes fandom sucks.. *motions to various sucky fandoms* other times we argue with it *motions to Enterprise* and sometimes it's love... *motions to um..some SW* But that's probably really good advice. Keeping fandom like.. between friends and maybe occasionally posting about it is probably the best way to go.
You've become very jaded. And Lost doesn't start until February. *cries* I mean... I'm not addicted. Lol, actually that's funny, just today Miguel said, "It's almost here!" and i was like... what are you talking about? It's only November! Uh, anyway. Yeah he's very odd. That's why I like him so much. Supernatural has a "massively huge fanbase"? I've heard it around, but I don't know what it is, I don't even know what channel it's on. Odd, right? Especially for me, since you know how much tv I watch. It's probably on... what do they call it now? The CW?? I don't watch that at all. Must be. But then that's all dumb like teenage/young demographic shows, which I haaaaate. I'm sorry, I'm just really babbling now. I'm with Jess, tv makes good, but then I will have it with dinner or I'll be doing my puzzle while I watch (lol, seriously) so it's not like it's all absorbing. I was considering making a post about what I was watching, but I guess I haven't, lol. And actually my next post will be about my book, which I will do... now. Because

Not watching television makes me jaded? I certainly wasn't saying that these shows are bad, that tv is bad, or anything of the like. Especially since I wrote a seven page paper on how tv is not bad. I'm saying that it felt good to be able to a. watch shows on my own time, and b. not watch stuff I'm not interested in. I'm not sure how that makes me jaded, but if you say so. I tend to look on it as being selective about what I watch because I don't feel like wasting my time with a lot of the weird stuff that's on right now. I'm definitely looking forward to the premire of Burn Notice next summer, as I mentioned, and I watch Enterprise, and Boston Legal on DVD and Quantum Leap on DVD, and occasionally I pick up a British show or two, or raid the tv show DVDs that we already have, or the food network is typically good with the exception of Rachel Raye, whom I cannot stand. So it's not that I don't watch tv, and it's not that I'm jaded, if I was, I would be going off about how tv is going to cause a mental apcolypse and I would have

Well, you do seem to make it sound like watching something that is popular is bad simply for that reason. But come on, why get so defensive? Since when does anybody listen to or care what I say? Or if you prefer, now how could you take such a statement so seriously? Who is it that watches four hours of tv with you every week?
