Like Munchdate, only without the Munch.
I completely forgot about House last night, how bad is that. I guess I've got other concerns going on and got wrapped up in other stuff. That involved sitting here with music on and playing solitaire. I had to unwind.
Finished Moonraker, it was excellent, the last about 30 pages or so were really good and really intense. I mean, it's a Bond book, it's not like he's going to die, and I never really get this way about books, but I was gripping the table.
We started watching Sword of Honour last night, which is really good. It has several things I like, including but not limited to England and WWII. And Craig. In a uniform. It's funny too. His name is Guy Crouchback...best name ever, right?
My grandpa passed away this morning. We all knew it was coming, in fact when my aunt called my mom last night (because she was staying with him and grandma), she said she thought it would probably be today. When I heard her call this morning at 6 something, I just knew. Really early calls and really late calls usually involve bad news. When my paternal grandmother passed away, we got a call at 10 or 11. We were actually staying at her house - she was in a nursing home - and all of us, including my cousin, had just gone to bed. Ever since then, it was just sort of engrained about late or early phone calls. But I think it was better (not that death is better) that we knew it was coming, and that we'll know that God has called him home. My mom liked to say that Shadow is waiting for grandpa and he's going to greet him with a tennis ball in his mouth.
