That's right.

Slowly, I'm getting over this cold.  Next week is jitterbug in dance.  And ugh, too much reeeeeeading.  However, I was reading Moonraker during work again because I didn't have any students, and Bond and M kicking Drax' butt at bridge was really funny.  Drax: Commander Thingummy!  Bond: .....*goinakickyourbuttnow*

Anyway.  I got to tell off one of the people that really pisses me off today!  It was fun.  So there are these two kids that were homeschooled...she's 15 and he's 16, and they both graduated from high school last year.  He was the annoying kid in my criminology class that kept making really stupid and pointless comments that he thought were funny and really weren't.  Then he'd try to argue everything and the entire class, I'm not kidding, would get mad.  He's gone now, somewhere else..he wants to be a lawyer.  She wants to be a doctor.  Anyway, she was on the bus today and she throws a fit if she doesn't get to sit up front and talk to the cool bus driver because she's the most awesome person in the world!!  Yay!!  Because she's so different and mature and she's a genius, etc etc etc.

So I ended up getting the seat across from her, just because it was the first available one.  Which meant that I ended up listening to her OVER my music...the whole time.  So, we were almost to my stop and it's sort of by this elementary school.  There were three or four kids on the corner, little kids, like first or second grade, and they were pushing the button to cross the street.  She looks over and goes "oh, short attention span and oblivious, must be public school kids!"

...  I um, paused my music and looked at her and said very casually, "I don't have a short attention span and I'm not oblivious...I went to public school."

She sort of gave me this look like 'how dare you contradict me!' and then said "Well, kids these days...I didn't mean all of them, just most."

I shrugged and said, "None of my friends do."  And then I got off the bus.  Hahahaha, I win!!

But seriously, they are incredibly snobby, both of them.  They think they're the best in the world because they're under 18.  Getting through life with an attitude like that is not going to get you very far.  Here's the thing.  Boil down public education, take out all of the touchy feely stuff, all of the sports, all of the fun things, and all of that kind of stuff, and have it JUST be academics?  We'd all graduate at 14.  She's no smarter than anyone else.  Younger, yes.  But in the long run, it won't matter.  It pisses me off though, her attitude.  I have a very low tolerance for people who think they're better than everyone else...I always have.

I'm different.  I'm a tom boy.  Most of my clothes consists of simple tee-shirts, jeans or shorts (from the guys' section because honestly, I can't stand short shorts, and ALL girl shorts now are too short for me.  I can only do knee length), a sweatshirt and a baseball cap (hehe it says Universal Exports).  Basically, I dress like a guy, because that's what's comfortable for me.  I don't think I'm better because I'm freaking different.  I was younger than most of the people I graduated with by a year.  So what?  You think you're better than everyone else and you're going to find that your intelligence isn't going to get you terribly far.

Besides.
Padawano Kenobi: i do have a short attention span :D
Padawano Kenobi: but she don't know that
EmoCooky00M: hehehehe
EmoCooky00M: um
EmoCooky00M: most smart people
EmoCooky00M: have like
EmoCooky00M: ADD and shit

I'm renting Sword of Honour.  Partially because I like WWII and Foyle's War is getting me into it again.  Partially because Daniel Craig in a uniform is hot.

Post office.
