Work was pretty meh today.  I got there slightly early to start getting stuff set up and the cooks annouced that all of us were required in the kitchen to help at 3:30.  It takes until 3:50 to get everything set up normally.  If it's not, then it's a mad scramble while trying to start serving and that's...not good.  So there was that.  I had the ( Read more... )

Hope this icon cheers you up! ^__^ Some people are so inconsiderate! I've worked at a movie theater with pretty much the same result, and indeed, taking a break really does wonders. I've dealt with the rudest people ever. One time (in the box office) I was passing some guy his change and passed it down the counter but his hand was out and he was like all nasty, "Can't you put it in my hand?" I gave him a Look cause I was already having a bad day, but still...

I think kids are sometimes worse, cause in the movie theater you have to deal with a trillion middle-schoolers. High-schoolers, okay, but from about 11 and so on...they were the most brattiest little things you could imagine. I'm just generalizing because there were plenty of sweet, polite kids but the ones who came out late at night without parents trying to sneak in to R movies, etc...they're loud, they run around the parking lot, and especially when they're in a group of their friends they're even worse. One girl was like, "Well, I'm gonna get you fired!" And I gave her another Look and said, "I already quit." Cause I did quit already that day (cause of school mostly and I had enough ^__^) Anyway she got all flustered and muttered something about getting fired anyway but yeah, that was really satisfying after that one horrible day.

At least you have a few people you had to deal with, sometimes when something goes wrong there's like a riot ready to break out with all the people in line! ^__^
