I took a walk around the world...
This was not a rigged quiz by the way...
So I survived this weekend, and got an omelette from Jorge on sunday during my break, which was badly needed as in..if I had stood for another five minutes, I was going to fall over because my back REALLY hurt. But sunday was kind of a mess. There were six servers including me and none of them were working, so I ended up doing the work of six people. Usually what happens at work is that for dinner, there are two seatings. One at 4, one at 5:30. Once people are let into the dining room, they can't come in. On sunday, for brunch, they just open it up and it's a continous flow for three hours. It's buffet too, so we don't actually have to take orders, though sometimes we pick up stuff for people, and we just get them drinks. But since it is a continuous flow, that means that we have to get place settings done really quickly after people leave, because, like at *cough* church... like good Lutherans... they all have their specific tables that they sit at. So they want THAT table. If they can't have THAT table, nevermind the one that hasn't even been used right next to it, they get very annoyed. So I'm running around, very clearly busy, and they're grumbling to me, calling me left and right, to get coffee, drinks, set tables... while the other five people stood around and talked, or sort of moseyed. So pretty much, I was exhausted.
Then Allie moved me into the kitchen and I played with bacon for awhile and put it on trays for the very nice chef, who was also incredibly busy. Sundays are "easy" for us, but not for the kitchen. Then I got my break, finally, then I came back for like an hour and played around in the kitchen some more... then I came home. Saturday wasn't bad either, it's a lot quieter on the weekends. So now I don't have to work until thursday.
I um.. rented... American Psycho.. because, I was shocked at the hilarity of the clips on youtube. But that should be here tomorrow. I also have discovered the wonderfulness that is www.cafepress.com. Such a cool site. I've been wanting to make random tee-shirts for a long time and now that I have a job and some sort of income, I can actually buy said shirts. So that rocks. What else... oh, classes are um..easy I guess. Granted it's the beginning of the second week, but last semster it was already HOLYCRAPOMGDEATH mode with evil anthro.
Um.. Newsies...invaded my head. They are running around up there. And all over my stories. This can only end in.. ...plot bunnies...
Well, I guess that's the update for now. Really super exciting, eh..
*looks around shiftily* ...I have to return some videotapes...
