Over the past two days, I have actually spent a good deal of time outside and have gotten... gasp!... excercise!
On Friday, I went hiking at the Big Four Ice Caves with Liz, and then today, I went swimming at Madison Park and got stung by a bee. While it was painful, I got to try out the new technique I learned for removing the stinger. Instead of tweezing it out, which can pinch the poison sac and inject more venom, you simply scrape the stinger out by sliding a credit card across the site of the sting. It worked like a charm. I wound up with a very little welt and the pain was pretty much gone in about 15 minutes.
Here are some pics from Friday's hike.
