Real progress at last!
I spent the afternoon working on my thesis and managed to hammer out a respectable draft for the first section of my exhibit script! There is something incredibly satisfying about compiling my various notes into actual labels within an Excel spreadsheet. I am starting to be able to visualize the physical layout of the text panels and the exhibit space. Also, drafting my labels by hand in a pocket-sized notebook is incredibly helpful, because the small pages force me to keep the word count within acceptable parameters for a museum exhibit. Even if I do not finish the script entirely, I am beginning to feel confident that I will have a substantial amount of work to present to my committee members by my next deadline next week.
