What the hell???? My Chemical Romance’s next single is going to be ‘The Ghost Of You’! It’s fucking terrible and easily the worst song they’ve ever done. Look at all the other possible singles from the second album - the visceral ‘Thank You For The Venom’, the irresistible, camp genius of ‘You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison’, the inhumanly catchy ‘To The End’ and the downright fucking astounding ‘Hang ‘Em High’ - and they choose that lame, embarrassing attempt at balladry that was ‘The Ghost Of You’??? People slag the guys enough already, but just wait till that things hits music channels and people hear Gerard’s excruciatingly forced vocals, there’ll be even more reasons for everyone to hate them. I’ve always stood by the guys since I got their first album and instantly became a fan, but this is clearly a mistake from whoever’s dumb-ass decision it was to release that aural garbage as a single. It just doesn’t make sense: the only band song they have, and it’s not only going to be released but have a WAR-THEMED VIDEO AS WELL. Jesus Christ, mercy me!
On a MUCH happier note… Shiona, the Gratitude album is out 20th June! Finally, we can get our hands on what is most likely to be more musical perfection from Jonah Matranga. Can’t wait. Still no clue why it took so long to be released here though, seeing as it was reviewed in most rock mags way back in January. Ah well, it’s coming out now, so all is good.
