FST 'Verse
Now that I've FINALLY gotten all the FST stuff updated and typed up and stuff, I'm (finally) going to post it.
What is FST you ask? Well...there's the long version and the short version. The short version is thus: FST stands for the Flying Sea Turtles, which is a band. That I made up. (or actually my friend had the initial idea, which I stole* borrowed (with every intention of bringing it back, of course).

The Saga of FST
-Will & Liz have known each other since middle school, when Will's family moved into the neighborhood from Boston
-They met Jack in an alley in a seedy part of Berkeley (long story) when they were in high school (10th/11th grade)
-Jamie was a friend of Jack's, though it turns out Will & Liz knew him from school, sorta
-Jamie's Story ("My story? It's exactly the same as your story, only one chapter behind..."): grew up in Piedmont, moved out/ran away when he was 15/16, lived in a cheap apartment in Oakland/Berkeley for a while, got really wasted on drugs/alcohol during that time, also met Jack thenabouts, became friends, when he was 17/18/19 or something he tried to kill himself (o.d?) but Jack stopped him & made him go to rehab/therapy & stuff
-W & E already had music/band/thing going when they met Jack, then he joined & recommended Jamie
-The 4 of them played at the Gilman for a while as Calypso's Fury (potential title for AWE)
-Made an album w/ little known local recording studio (Tortuga Records) (yes, *wince*, I know, laaame)
-Did some shows/stints/songs/gigs w/ Jack's friend (and former girlfriend) Anamaria, who later joined Voodoo Underestimated
-Met Josh at the Gilman & after a while he joined & name was changed to Flying Sea Turtles (FST)
-FST got pretty popular, went on tour, released an album, got bigger, toured some more (in Caribbean as a fund-raising thing for 3rd world countries or sommat)
-Lizzie decided to leave band and strike out on own as a solo pop artist (possibly w/ help of American-Idol-type-thing?)
-FST managed to start a rivalry/enemyship (not real word, I'm well aware, thankyouverymuch) w/ the band All Your Souls Are Belong to the EITC (known as All Your Souls) (tho they might be changing their name to I Sold My Soul to the EITC instead, and be known as Sold My Soul), no one really sure how (though there is a lot of old hate: Jack & Barbie/Bossman are old enemies, Jamie & Chris Beckett are old enemies and Jack & Chris are old enemies)
-FST's most recent exploit is the PotC Battle of the Bands, in which they are competing against All Your Souls/Sold My Soul and Voodoo Underestimated, as well as a few more obscure bands.
-Rumour speaks of Josh leaving the band (EXTRA! READ OUR EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH FST! ALL IS TOLD--*cough* sorry 'bout that. pesky media...)
-No one knows why Jamie has a (really sexy) english/british accent (he grew up in Piedmont for christsakes), or Will too for that matter, but Jack's drawling slur is from the rum and a childhood in Nassau.
-Josh is a bit of an alcoholic (it's most severe when they're on the road/on tour), but usually the other 3 can get him sobered up in time for shows.
-Usually Jamie has to look out for Will & Jack & drag them home when Will gets sloshed (it really doesnt take all that much) or Jack gets really high and/or starts heading off to bed w/ any number of fangirls/groupies. However, when Jamie gets all depressed and lethargic and suicidal-ish, Jack is the one who looks after him while Will tiptoes around the house and is all awkward and kinda clueless. 'cuz no one knows exactly how Jack snaps Jamie out of these angsty bits (which can sometimes last upwards of a week or two.)
-I'm stealing whosever idea online it was for Jack's Pearl to be a 70's/80's sportscar.
-Will + high school = metalshop. *nodnod* (and angst. lots o' angst. but that goes without saying. (for Jamie, too.))
-Jack drinks a lot of coffee. Jamie prefers tea. In fact, Jamie thrives on tea. Tea (or rather the lack thereof) is sometimes connected to his depressed-spells. Will drinks coffee, too, and sometimes tea, but never rivaling Jack or James.
-Josh is more or less a loner in the band, leaving the other three to do most of the hanging out together.
-Jack, Will and Jamie are all very much into really dark chocolate, and whenever they get some or leave any lying around, Will & Jamie end up almost dueling over it, while Jack sneaks off pieces when they aren't looking.
-Lizzie has an old stuffed animal she always takes with her on tour and to shows & stuff. Its name is Weatherby and it's a stuffed (panda? camel? seahorse? parrot? something...)
I had the band originating from the San Francisco Bay Area (or more specifically the East Bay) instead of LA (which I would have liked to do) because of my familiarity with the area (I live there. -smirk-). I really know practically nothing about LA (I've only been there once or twice). So, FST hails from the Bay Area. (which is cool, 'cuz so does Green Day. but whatever.)
