Rating: PG
A/N: Taken from a prompt someone left on formspring... I hope I did okay...
Alex/Andrew - Mike has got like a bf or something that's not in the band and he sings about him and it cuts up Alex or something angsty like that? idk. Andy's like there for Alex and tries to make him feel better? Alex is in love with Mike?
Alex curled into a ball, his whole body was shaking with emotion. He felt arms snake around his waist and for a split second he let his mind believe that it was Michael. When he looked up he smiled softly at his blond friend and wrapped his arms around him tight. “Shh, it's okay, just let it out Lexxie.” Andrew whispered softly in his ear. That was all Alex needed before he started to cry hard against him. Andrew bit his lip, he wanted to do something to calm him down but he knew that his friend just needed to let everything out. He had been holding things in for far too long.
“He's never going to love me,” Alex mumbled through his tears. Andrew sighed, thinking that he knew exactly what Alex was going through but he didn't say anything. He just held him tight. “He... that was our song and he...to him...”
“I know, Lexxie. I know.” Andrew sighed. He could have killed Michael when he dedicated 'When I Get Home' to that special someone. They all knew that he was talking about Drew. Andrew had been so proud of Alex though, he had heard the slight mistake at the beginning, but he couldn't blame him for that. He had pulled through though, he had given the best performance he can. Andrew had seen some of the comments on their you tube, most of them had said what an awesome song it was, others had said how much it looked like Alex had been crying through it. Andrew sighed, holding him tight, if only they knew.
“Was our song.” Alex cried. “We wrote it as a group. And he...” Alex cries harder and it scares Andrew; he had never seen the young boy so distraught.
“Shh, I know.” Andrew repeated, he wasn't too sure what else he could say.
“I hate that I love him, Pandy.” Alex whispered. Andrew's heart skipped a beat as Alex called him his pet name. “He...and I...”
“I know, I know.” Andrew soothed, rocking him.
“When I see them together, or when I know that they're talking... It hurts.” Alex mumbled. “And he's my best friend, and he always acts weird around me when I'm acting like a jealous idiot, but I can't help it.” Alex sobbed. “I love him.”
“I know you do, and he's an idiot for...”
“Not loving me back.” Alex finished for him. Andrew nodded gently. “He... Drew isn't even cute.” Alex muttered. Andrew giggled.
“No. He's not.” Andrew smiled, “No where near as cute as you.”
Alex blushed as snuggled against Andrew's chest. “Thank you, Pandy.”
“Nothing to thank me for.” Andrew said softly.
“You're always here for me.” Alex said, his eyes darting up to Andrew's kind face.
“You're my best friend.” And the person I am head over heels in love with, Andrew thought to himself.
“I know.” Alex smiled. “You're mine too.”
“I thought Michael was.” Andrew frowned, Alex shrugged.
“He... You're nicer then he is.” Alex said and held him tight. “I don't want to lose you like I lost him,”
“You haven't lost anyone Lexxie, and you're never going to.” Andrew promised.
“Kay.” Alex sighs. “Can you stay like this for a while?”
“Like what?”
“Just here. You make me feel safe.” Alex admitted. Andrew nodded.
“For as long as you want me.”
“Forever then.”
“Forever.” Andrew said, his heart aching. He ran a hand up and down Alex's back and sighed, he'd be here forever for Alex, he knew he would. He just wished that while he was holding him, Alex wasn't wishing that it was Michael's arms around him instead.
